If you would like to be employed at a workplace with a trustworthy background and flexible work conditions, employment through a school cooperative is the best possible choice.
How does a school cooperative work?
First, you are required to be a member of the cooperative through which you want to work. This usually has a nominal fee, which you either pay during registration or when you receive your first paycheck. You are required to show a valid student ID or proof of student status. You will enter a contract during registration which is directed especially toward your legal rights as well as your required commitments. Most jobs will also require you to attend a medical exam performed by a doctor.
School cooperatives are in touch with multiple partner companies, and thus have a wide array of job openings for you to choose from. They will only suggest a job which they are familiar with and toward which they do not have any negative impressions. You can take on temporary jobs here and there, but you can also work at a given place for multiple months or even years. The opportunity is there to try your hand in various fields, but you also have the flexibility to “work your way” into the workplace that you are interested in.
It is worth knowing that if you are employed through a school cooperative, the company you work at will not be your employer. Instead, the school cooperative will be your employer, which means you will receive your salary from us as well.
It is an excellent opportunity, since employees working at the school cooperative can provide you with useful advice and can help you with any questions you may have.
